Official Inauguration of President Jimmy Carter
& VP Walter Mondale Commemorative Plate

Made for the Presidential Inaugural Committee by "Rosenthal Group - Germany" it is from the "Classic Rose Collection".   The plate measures 10" across - the front inside is 7" across and features the likeness of PRESIDENT CARTER and V-P MONDALE with the U.S. CAPITOL in the background.  Around the outer edge of the plate appears the likeness of the 36 former presidents of the United States.  There is a gold ring on the outer rim of the PLATE and two gold rings on the inside portion (the base of the plate measures 6-1/2" across).  On the base of the plate are the Seals of the PRESIDENT and VICE-PRESIDENT together with the words "January 20, 1977 - Washington, D.C. - The Official Inauguration of PRESIDENT JAMES E. CARTER (with his signature below his name) and VICE PRESIDENT WALTER F. MONDALE (with his signature below his name)".  At the top of the base is {c} 1077 RR&A - the "Classic Rose Collection" maker's mark and "Rosenthal Group - Germany" - super-imposed over the date and Washington, D.C. (in black letters) is "Classic Rose Collection" (just as shown at the bottom of the base in gold)   Below the base is a set of numbers "9000/1006".  There is a plate hanger attached as manufactured.  It comes in its individual velvet and silk lined case (which measures approx. 12" square) and THERE ARE NO CHIPS, CRACKS, NICKS OR BREAKS TO THE PLATE - in fact it appears to have never been out of the box.  Only the 2nd I've ever seen for sale!!   $125  Buy Now
