1860 FERROTYPE CAMPAIGN BADGE WITH DIFFERENT CAMPAIGN SLOGAN
O-1
Rare Lincoln-Hamlin ferrotype from 1860 but unfortunately not as in good condition for Abe.  Some of Abe's photo has flaked off but Hamlin is in very good condition with only minor flakes on edge. This one features their names above the photos for Lincoln and Hamlin.  Click on the photo for closer images.  These have holes in them to insert a small ribbon and hang on the lapel in 1860.  This is also a rare version

1864 Abraham Lincoln/Andrew Johnson Gault Frame Ferrotype
O-1a  Large size and unique format make this one of the most desired 1864 varieties. It is especially popular because matching varieties for his 1864 opponents, George McClellen and John Fremont, are also available to make a great type set for the three 1864 candidates. The format, unique among ferro designs, is similar to that found on encased postage stamps of the same era. The present example is in extra fine condition, with virtually full original luster on the brass frame. Probably owing to the large exposed ferro surface, these Gault frame pieces tend to have damage on the Presidential side; often, as is the case here, the image is almost totally obliterated, while the better-protected Johnson portrait remains more intact .  Although the ferros are damaged this is still a choice piece for a political collection.

Extremely Rare Horace Greeley-Gratz Brown for VP 1872 Ferrotype!
O-2 This may well be the only time you ever get a chance to own a Horace Greeley item.  All items for Greeley are rare but a Greeley-Brown item is almost impossible to find in any condition.  The Greeley side isn't perfect but isn't that bad and the badge is a wow item!  There is no pin on reverse as on many of similar badges of this era.  I understand there is a matching Grant badge from 1872 as well.  This is pricey but you won't find another one soon if ever.  My first find ever in 36 years of collecting.  $1745.00   Buy Now

O-3 President Ulysses S. Grant for President 1872 Ferrotype.  No longer has pin on back but nice clear photo of Gen. Grant.  Could possibly be cleaned up but I haven't tried.  3/4"
